REDSOFA is a specialist recruitment business operating across Europe, connecting creative talent with opportunity since 2009. As the business evolved, REDSOFA wanted its digital presence to do more than advertise roles; the ambition was to create a destination for the creative community to engage, learn and grow.
REDSOFA’s existing website no longer reflected where the business was heading. The platform was built around recruitment listings, with limited flexibility to support new services or experiences.
The new site needed to reflect a broader ambition. It had to support content, community and learning alongside recruitment, integrate seamlessly with internal systems, and be built on a technology foundation that could scale without frequent rebuilds.
In short, REDSOFA needed a digital platform that could evolve with the business, not constrain it.
Through consultancy workshops, stakeholder interviews and user journey mapping, it became clear that REDSOFA needed to serve multiple audiences with distinct and evolving needs, including candidates, clients and content consumers.
The key insight was that a composable, modular architecture would provide the flexibility required. By decoupling systems and designing for change, REDSOFA could introduce new services and features over time without disrupting the core platform. This shaped a clear technology roadmap from the outset.
We structured the project around a clear roadmap that balanced immediate delivery with long-term flexibility:
Discovery and alignment
Focused on bringing leadership, internal teams and design partners together around shared goals, future user stories and system requirements.
Composable architecture and roadmap
Designed a modular, composable architecture and phased roadmap, working closely with StudioGruhl to ensure the visual identity and technical approach were tightly aligned and feasible.
Headless CMS and front-end build
Delivered a responsive, accessible front end powered by a headless CMS, giving the team editorial flexibility from day one.
System integrations
Implemented clean integrations with REDSOFA’s recruitment systems to automate job listings and applicant flows, reducing manual effort and friction.
Ongoing support and scalability
Provided hosting, support and maintenance to ensure performance, stability and scalability as the platform continues to grow.
The new platform launched to strong internal and external acclaim. Within weeks, the site won Site of the Day and a Developer Award and was recognised by Awwwards for its animated experience.
System integrations reduced manual effort and improved operational efficiency, while the composable architecture gives the business confidence to roll out new services without rebuilding.
The result is a digital platform built for growth, repositioning REDSOFA from a recruitment consultancy to a creative destination and ready to evolve alongside the community it serves.
